We are looking for an experienced and dependable Pastry Baker to join our bakery team in Nashville.
This is a hands-on production position for someone with professional bakery or pastry experience. Our products are handcrafted in-house, and we are looking for someone who can work independently, follow standardized recipes, maintain consistent quality, and efficiently manage daily pastry production.
Experience with Danish pastries, laminated dough, dough fermentation, shaping, proofing, and commercial bakery production is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Prepare and produce Danish pastries and other baked pastry products from scratch
Prepare, mix, roll, laminate, shape, proof, and bake dough according to established recipes and production standards
Prepare pastry fillings, creams, toppings, and other components
Monitor fermentation, proofing, baking time, and temperature
Maintain consistent product size, appearance, texture, and quality
Follow daily production lists and complete assigned production on schedule
Properly weigh and measure ingredients according to recipes
Monitor ingredient and product quality during production
Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products properly
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation
Follow all sanitation and food safety procedures
Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment issues, or production problems to the Kitchen Lead
Assist with inventory and production preparation as needed
Work collaboratively with the rest of the bakery team
Assist with kitchen cleaning and organization as part of daily production duties
Skills
Previous professional bakery or pastry kitchen experience required
Strong knowledge of basic baking techniques and production procedures
Experience with Danish pastry and/or laminated dough strongly preferred
Experience with dough fermentation, shaping, proofing, and baking preferred
Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately
Ability to work independently after training
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Good time management and production efficiency
Clean and organized work habits
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Able to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
